AquuL is a motion graphics + graphic design source created to offer users with tutorials and templates to make their experience easier. The main part of our content relates to the programs Sony Vegas and Photoshop, however a lot of the content applies to video editing and/or graphic design in general. AquuL was created on February the 5th, 2010.

This website was originally based off of the YouTube channel ‘AquuL’ – a hosting site for the templates offered, but it quickly grew into much more than that; now offering forums, tutorials, contests and more. You may be asking to yourself what is the the word AquuL and what does it even mean. Well, It’s pronounced Ak-will, and as for what the word means? It really means nothing other than the invented word for the company. When creating the name I was looking for something that was short, simple, and unique. After several hours of creating and drafting many names I finally came up with AquuL. As for the owner, it’s owned by me, Corey Harris. I’m currently 15 years old and I live in a small town in New Zealand called Kerikeri. At the moment I’m a student – I enjoy working on AquuL in my free time, and it’s turned into a neat little job. Q. I have a video/tutorial request, where can I place this?
A. Video/tutorial suggestions can be made through the AquuL Forums > Video Suggestions forum, or you can directly contact us.

Q. Where do you get your sound FX, audio and video effects from?
A. Take a look at Audio Jungle, Video Hive, and Video Copilot.

Q. What software do you use to make your videos?
A. Sony Vegas Pro 11, Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Extended Edition, Adobe After Effects CS5.5, Camtasia Recorder,  and Audacity.

Q. Can you make me an intro/logo [or any other works] for free?
A. Unfortunately I get asked this dozens of times a week. With such a large audience, I just don’t have the time to do this. Sorry. Feel free to use any of the templates offered on this website.

Q. What microphone do you use to voice over your tutorials?
A. I use the Audio Technica AT2020 USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone, along with the Samson SP01 Spider Shockmount, Nady MPF-6 6-Inch Clamp on Pop Filter, and an On Stage DS7200B Adjustable Desk Stand.

Q. What are the specs on your system and setup?
A. Intel Core i7 2600K @ 4.5Ghz CPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600Mhz,  ATI Radeon HD6950 2GB GDDR5 GPU, Intel 120GB SSD, 2TB WD Caviar Black 7200RPM SATA-III HDD, 3x 21.5″ 1080p monitors.
Logitech 5.1 channel surround sound speakers, Logitech C910 1080p webcam, Logitech Wave K350 wireless keyboard, Logitech M570 wireless trackball, 4TB external HDDs, AT2020 USB Condenser Mic.

Q. How can I be a Moderator on the AquuL Forums?
A. Moderators are chosen on a number of factors such as activity, skill, professionalism, respect, and a few more aspects. Asking won’t help.
