What is Photoshop? Photoshop is an image or graphics editing program created by Adobe. It’s used for editing images and creating graphics in a user friendly environment within many Operating Systems such as Windows and Mac OS X. It’s used by millions of graphic designers, image editors, image composers, artists, print designers, and standard computer users. It’s used so commonly that it’s most likely most images you see; whether in books, magazines, newspapers, posters has been either edited or created in Photoshop. Photoshop  has become so popular, that the program is commonly used as a verb; “did you Photoshop that?” “that image is so photoshopped!”. Meaning, that the image had been handled/altered in the Adobe Photoshop application.

Here are some things Photoshop allows the user to do:

- Image enhancements/corrections
- Cropping
- Animation
- Precise Masking
- Text Creation
- Shape Creation
- Brushing
- Content Awareness
And many more

Example uses of Photoshop edited by myself:
All of those images were created or edited in Photoshop. Here’s an example of me working on those images in the actual Photoshop program for Windows.
As you can see, the program contains many tools with powerful functionalities. A user can spend hours exploring what Photoshop can do, and the outcomes are endless. Edit or create any possibility. Publish it on the web, print it on paper. It’s remarkable how frequently image editing applications such as Photoshop are used. Thanks for reading.
